Welcome to 2026! As we near the one-month countdown to release day, The Feathers of Farwood and The Gripps Curse is officially listed on Goodreads, and you can mark it as ‘Want to Read‘!
Goodreads is where you can meet your next favourite book. Whether you’re looking for new releases or hidden gems, this platform brings together a community of readers eager to explore the latest in children’s fiction. With The Feathers of Farwood now listed, you can stay updated on release news.
A space for readers to find their next favourite book
I now have an author page on Goodreads, where you can easily find The Feathers of Farwood (and future books). Goodreads is a space where readers can discover new stories, track their reading progress, and share reviews if they choose. While every book begins with an author, it truly ends with the reader. Goodreads provides a platform for you (the wonderful reader) to engage with the story on your terms. As an author, I believe it’s important to step back from reviews and allow that space to be entirely yours.
But I will showcase reviews where permission is given and where appropriate, and I’m truly grateful to all readers who pick up my book or recommend it to friends or family.
What to expect from this magical middle grade for kids
When you mark The Feathers of Farwood as ‘Want to Read’ on Goodreads, you’re signing up for a story packed with:
- Mysterious secrets in a town like no other
- Magical owls with stories of their own
- Australian wildlife woven into every page. You’ll find facts about Eastern Barn Owls and other Aussie bird life (bird watching is cool now, haven’t you heard? Now you can participate from the comfort of your bedroom or couch)
- Themes of courage, belonging, and friendship that will stay with you long after the last page (and I hope you’ll follow the characters’ adventures into Book Two and Book Three).
Where to find The Feathers of Farwood – Aussie adventure and animals
The Feathers of Farwood will be officially available on February 24th in bookstores and libraries across Australia. If you’re looking for kids and children’s books, fantasy fiction for children and teenagers, or nature and animal stories, this magical adventure is one you won’t want to miss. You can pre-order your copy now through Riveted Press here to ensure you get it on release day!
It’s also available on Booktopia here, where you can find it in categories like children, teenagers & young adults (YA) fiction, family & home stories, and traditional stories for children.
